The Company

Mob Film & TV has been producing feature films, high-end TV dramas and factual programming for more than twenty-five years.

Formed in 1998 out of commercials company Beechurst, the company got its name from the Castelli brothers who were part of its birth and who made it sound like we had Sicilian connections.

We didn’t, but a motley collection of folk have passed under the mob’s umbrella over the years so the name’s stuck, as have Vadim Jean and Ian Sharples, consistently managing the long form output and owning the company from the start.

Our productions have been completely eclectic over the years and have ranged from five-minute films based on spoken word performance from Kate Tempest for Channel 4 Arts to our feature film about Charles Dickens writing ‘A Christmas Carol’ (starring Dan Stevens, Christopher Plumber, Jonathan Pryce and Simon Callow) released in cinemas nationwide in the UK and on 700 prints in the US by Bleeker Street.

If we’re passionate about a story that we’d like to tell then that’s what we try to produce.
